Super Mario Fundables Fruit Snacks
Fun for Super Mario lovers, but not as tasty as some of the other fruit snacks we’ve tried.

Snackin’ Brother loves Super Mario, so we were pretty sure the Super Mario-themed Fundables fruit snacks would be a hit. And, indeed they were – for the fun of them. But they were not as good as we’d hoped they’d be.
For starters, the bag that Snackin’ Brother sampled included only four Super Mario characters out of a possible six. Also, the taste and the feel of Super Mario Fundables fruit snacks was not as great as some of the other fruit snacks we’ve tried.
Snackin’ Brother said Super Mario Fundables fruit snacks offered a good balance of sticky versus chewy, but he also said they were sticking to his teeth. (The dentist will not be happy!) The different colors were different flavors, and Snackin’ Brother liked orange the best.
For Snackin’ Sister, who is less of a Super Mario fan, the Super Mario Fundables were just okay. She tasted one and didn’t want more.
Snackin’ Mom was pleasantly surprised to see that Super Mario Fundables fruit snacks offer 25% of the recommended daily serving of vitamins A, C and E. Unfortunately, corn syrup and sugar are the first two ingredients. Plus there are artificial colors (including Red 40) and ingredients that are almost impossible to pronounce (sodium hexametaphosphate).
We recently sampled Pixar Fruit Snacks from Betty Crocker (read the review here), and we recommend those over the Super Mario Fundables, for more fun and a better taste.
